Flowing ....

This week started for me on a sad note (after a weekend of spontaneous joy). I heard about the death of the young promising actor Anton Yelchin - who also happened to have been one of my favourite young actors, and the main lead starring in one of my all time favourite movie: Like Crazy. He was 27 years old. The death seems to be a freak accident, yet a shock never the less, however this news further goes on to confirm my personal philosophy of the importance of living now. There is no guarantees in anything. So truly you have to go within, and see where the heart is being pulled, and where does it want to dance and really rejoice? Only you know! No one on the outside world can answer that question for you.

The concept of "Flowing" (as in just being present and moving along like a river stream) started to again rummage around in my brain around the time of hearing this news. Personally I always try and live from my heart and what pleases my spirit. Some of my actions - maybe all - seem crazy to others, but as Amelia Earhart famously said "Everyone has ocean's to fly, if they have the heart to do it. Is it reckless? Maybe. But what do dreams know of boundaries?" I totally agree with this.

Life is magical in a way, and it is also truly a representation of your perception. A glass that is half full, or half empty is down to your perception, because in the end it looks the same!

Nevertheless my point of this post is simply please go and live. Live your truth, and your authenticity. And don't think that you need to shout this out from the rooftops. Some people will just not understand. As long as you are being authentic to your soul and it's need and yet you are not intentionally causing pain to others, there is nothing wrong with living. I guess the question I want to leave you with is simply this; If this evening was to be the last evening of your life, what would you most regret?

When that end is near, you want to be in a state of "I tried my best" even if things did not work out the way you wanted them to. The guardian did an article a few years back on the top five regrets of the dying and it's an interesting read. Please don't regret anything. Go and live.

MY LIFE MOTO:

#1

Drop the labels.

Labels will box you in, and not give the soul a sense of freedom. Live with what makes you happy. If the soul is content, then life will appear magical.

#2

Be true to you.

You are unique and not like anyone else, so make your own rules. Be guided in life, but carve your own path.

#3

Live the now.

We all have plans, but if you are not fully immersed in the now and are only worrying about tomorrow, then today will never be 100% fully realised.
